Private Lessons with Deborah Greenblatt
Deborah Greenblatt is a classically trained, professional musician who is equally at home performing on violin or viola in a symphony orchestra as she is fiddling up a storm playing tunes from a multitude of cultures and periods. Debby has been teaching privately for over 45 years and offers 60 minute lessons for $30 or 30 minute lessons for $20. In addition to classical violin, viola, and fiddle she also teaches recorders (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, and sopranino), acoustic guitar, mandolin, beginning banjo, baritone uke, hammered dulcimer, nyckelharpa, etc. Debby believes that one is never too young or too old to start an instrument as long as there is a desire to play.
David Seay is mostly self-taught and has been teaching private music lessons for over 35 years. He offers 45 minute sessions for $25. Regular lessons are available for acoustic guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, beginning electric guitar, bass guitar, diatonic 10 hole harmonica, and pennywhistle. Introductory sessions are available for mountain dulcimer, upright string bass, bowed musical saw, bugle, didgeridoo, 3 hole English tabor pipe, and low D pennywhistle.
If you’re not sure what instrument you want to learn to play, then consider scheduling an exploratory encounter session. This gives Debby & David a chance to let you play several instruments, to see which one appeals to you the most.
If you already know which instrument you want to learn, but you don’t have one yet, then a session with us before you buy could help make you a smarter shopper.
