60 tunes arranged for two players into 28 medleys. Includes barn dances, flings, hop jigs, hornpipes, jigs, laments, marches, planxtys, polkas, quadrilles, quicksteps, rants, reels, slides, slip jigs, and waltzes. Chords are also included.
Each Tunes for Two collection consists of individual spiral-bound duet books presented in score form with melody on the top line and harmony beneath so you can play each tune by yourself or with others. The tunes are laid out so that there are no page turns to interrupt the flow of your playing. Duo arrangements of the tunes in this collection, in the same keys, are available for violins, violas, cellos, basses, and mandolins.
PDFs are available worldwide for each of the books in the Tunes for Two series.

Greenblatt has provided us a quick but thorough resource for traditional fiddle music: Irish-sourced tunes that work well together as medleys in various forms, including jigs, polkas, quadrilles, and reels. Each medley contains two or three short songs which Greenblatt feels connect well once the ear pays attention. A beautiful connection is the “Farewell Medley,” which contains “Farewell to Highland” and “Farewell to Old Ireland”. For anyone wanting to have a resource for period music, this should be in that library.
